This policy describes what data the Puntos Padel app (the "App") collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. The App is operated by REBALL ("we"). Contact: monica.gerchinhoren@gmail.com.
Short version
- The match scoreboard works 100% on your device: matches and their history are never uploaded to any server.
- "Find players" uses an anonymous account: we never ask for your name, email or phone number. Your public identity is just a nickname.
- Other users only see your nickname, gender, category and the name of your area (e.g. "Palermo, Buenos Aires") — never your exact location.
- You can delete all your data from within the App, at any time, without asking anyone.
- We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for advertising.
1. Data that stays on your device
- Matches and scoreboard: settings, match history and shot counts are stored locally on your phone. They are not uploaded to our servers.
- Shot detection (watch): if enabled, the watch processes motion data (accelerometer/gyroscope) on the watch itself to classify shots. Only the detected shot type (e.g. "forehand") is sent to the phone; raw motion data is neither stored nor uploaded.
2. Data we collect if you use "Find players"
This feature is optional. If you use it, we store in Firebase (Google):
- Anonymous identifier: an account ID generated by Firebase Anonymous Auth. It is not linked to your name, email or phone number.
- Profile: nickname, gender (man/woman/other) and your area — the neighbourhood/city name and the coordinates detected by GPS. Coordinates are used only to filter searches by distance and are not visible to other users, who only see the area name.
- Posted searches: match date and time, category, gender sought, court/club (if you type one), area and players needed.
- Join requests and chat: your requests to join matches and chat messages with other users. Messages go through an automatic offensive-language filter.
- Reports and blocks: if you report or block a user, we keep that information for moderation. Reports are forwarded to us by email.
- Feedback: if you send a comment from the App, we receive the text, your anonymous ID, the App version and the platform.
- Notification token: to notify you about new searches in your area, join requests and messages. You can turn notifications off in your system settings.
3. Place search
When you search for an area by text, the query is sent to OpenStreetMap's Nominatim service to get suggestions. Only the text you type is sent, with no account identifiers.
4. Analytics and crash reporting
We use Google Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics to understand App usage (events such as "match started", screens viewed) and diagnose errors (device model, operating system, crash traces). This data is aggregated and does not include your chat content or your exact location. On Android we do not collect the advertising identifier (AD_ID).
5. Advertising
The App may display a banner with our own or sponsors' web content. We do not use personalized ad networks or share your data with advertisers.
6. Who we share data with
- Google Firebase (Google LLC): database, authentication, notifications, analytics and crash-reporting infrastructure. Google acts as a data processor.
- OpenStreetMap / Nominatim: only the place-search text.
We do not sell personal data or share it with third parties for their own purposes.
7. Retention and deletion
- "Find players" data is kept while your anonymous account is active.
- From Profile → Delete my data you can remove your profile, your searches, your join requests, your chats with their messages, and the anonymous account. Deletion is permanent.
- Local scoreboard data is removed by uninstalling the App or clearing its data in your system settings.
8. Security
Data in Firebase is protected by access rules: only you can read your profile; chats are visible only to their participants; reports cannot be read from the App.
9. Children
The App is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with data, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Your rights
You can access, correct or delete your data (most of it directly from the App). For any request, write to monica.gerchinhoren@gmail.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local data-protection laws (e.g. GDPR in the EU, Law 25.326 in Argentina).
11. Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date above and, for significant changes, give notice in the App.
